This is the first combine I rode in. And the one that started it all. The Gleaner E. I took these pics many years ago when it was still sitting. Since then someone bought it. I think I found it, but at times it "disappears". So I believe someone brought the old girl back to life. I hope to track it down soon. And find out what happened to her. He only cut grain and soy beans with her. When I was a kid, I thought the combine was a beast.  I remember seeing him race against a thunderstorm during one harvest. What a sight to see it was dark, the lights was on, and lighting flashing across the sky.   The cab showing how simple it was. This is nothing like the "Space Ship" cabs we have now.  |

Great pictures of that Gleaner "E" combine Sam! Hope that old gal went to a good home and is still happily harvesting! I hate seeing old combines, especially Gleaners end up in the scrap pile. If you ever get a chance to buy her, I would.
